Mission 2013
In 2013, the spiritual leader Amma, who founded the "Embracing the World" NGO, called on The Heart Fund to provide support and expertise for children suffering from congenital cardiopathies.
The Heart Fund created a partnership with the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences hospital and Dr. Kumar's Department of Pediatric Cardiology to set up a program for screening isolated rural areas and providing heart surgery and pediatric heart transplants.
