EDUCATION

The Heart Fund invests in knowledge transfer to develop health system autonomy

PROMOTE MEDICAL EDUCATION

The training and education of caregivers is the only solution for a viable health system.

INVESTING IN CAREGIVERS

The Heart Fund attaches great importance to skill transfer. It collaborates with local health actors and care centers to promote optimal training that is adapted to the local environment. Long-term care for cardiovascular diseases depends directly on the training of caregivers.

The Heart Fund commits to training pediatric cardiologists by providing advanced training centers that are in contact with the disease in the field and in the most hostile environments. These cardiologists-in-training are in constant contact through remote medical equipment installed in the Heart Mobile.

EDUCATING WORKERS

Being able to recognize symptoms, carry out simple screening tests or simply recognize the existence of the disease is primordial in combating the scourge of congenital heart diseases.

To educate all caregiving personnel, from nurses to doctors, The Heart Fund commits to supplying the appropriate educational tools for simple, effective training.

TRAINING ELITE

Therapeutic care for cardiopathies in developing countries can be more dangerous and complex than in other places. Training surgeons, cardiologists and anesthesiologists is fundamental.

Programs must be adapted to local conditions and to advanced pathologies, while combining technical internships with regular theoretical teaching as a complement to existing training.

INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS

Training in pediatric cardiology is long and costly. The urgent global health situation does not allow waiting ten years to train a doctor. The Heart Fund works on implementing innovative training programs in partnership with international universities.

By combining intense training, coherent goals and practical application in the field, these programs should allow reducing infantile mortality due to congenital cardiopathies.

TRAINING INPEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY

Starting in 2015, a training program for treating congenital cardiopathies was developed for West Africa in Côte d'Ivoire.
