RESEARCH
The Heart Fund collaborates with research workers, engineers and start-ups to develop connected health products, scientific publications and therapeutic platforms
INVESTING IN SOLUTIONS

Imagination is the highest form
of research.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
—
Through its expert partners, The Heart Fund creates concrete solutions in telecommunications, robotics and new technologies
to combat cardiopathies in Africa.
Through the creation of an epidemiological observatory in Africa, The Heart Fund collects scientific data that improves access to screening through mobile and connected healthcare and publishes scientific reports to better understand the health, economic and socio-psychological impact
of congenital heart disease.
EPIDEMIOLOGY
—
The Heart Fund has created a statistical and epidemiological observatory of infantile cardiopathies by collecting medical data on all patients who were screened and operated on around the Gulf of Guinea, an area with 300 million inhabitants. Data collection was facilitated by the implementation of a digital platform that allowed an objective epidemiological analysis of congenital cardiopathies in their environment.
TECHNOLOGY
—
The Heart Fund creates partnerships with innovative start-ups focusing on robotics, eHealth or telecommunications to develop appropriate solutions for developing countries. The Research and Development Department works with Humelab, a leader in connected tactile tables, to find a solution for telemedicine in Africa, data collection and biometric recognition.
THERAPY
—
Engineers from the Heart Mobile team are working to build a mobile hybrid cardiac operating room that will enable operating in areas without a cardiology hospital using the latest-generation technical equipment. The challenge for The Heart Fund is to promote an international quality standard for all therapies, whatever the complexity of the environment or the local standard of living.
